Well-child visits

Getting your child regular preventive care is one of the best things you can do as a caregiver to make sure your child's health, growth and development stay on the right track. Well-child checkups allow you and your child to develop a relationship with your child's provider, and allow your child's provider to identify any health or development concerns early so necessary treatment can begin without delay.

Well-child visits can include growth and development screenings, evaluation of physical and emotional conditions, administration of recommended vaccines, blood testing, and hearing and vision screenings. Our providers also offer EKGs (electrocardiograms) in our office should this testing be necessary to monitor heart function.

Typical well-child visits occur at the following ages:

  • Within five days of hospital discharge after birth
  • Two weeks
  • One month

  • Four months
  • Six months
  • Nine months
  • 12 months
