School, sports & camp physicals
Before your child attends school, or participates in a camp or sport, a physical exam is often required to ensure your child can take part without endangering himself or others. This exam can include verification of vaccines, assessment of current health or a review of health history to determine if there might be any hidden risks of participation. Our clinic also completes EKGs to monitor heart function when needed as part of a sports or camp physical.
Many camp, school and sports physicals can be completed at the same time as your child's regular annual exam. If an exam is required at another time or requires testing not normally included in a well-patient checkup, there might be an additional charge. These special exams are often not covered by insurance, so verify coverage with your insurer before making your child's appointment.
If you have any forms that need to be completed, bring those with you as we will not have access to them in our office.
