Marisa Clancy, DO
As a mother and a pediatrician, Marisa Clancy, DO, understands that every child is unique and every child deserves medical care that fits them. "I am a mother of two wonderful children who are completely different," Dr. Clancy shared. "That makes me see firsthand that children are not all the same, and a child's care needs to be tailored to that individual child. Medicine is not one-size-fits-all, and I am willing to work with a family to find the medical care that works for their lifestyle."
Dr. Clancy also understands firsthand what it is like to care for a child with a congenital or chronic condition. "Having a child of my own with congenital CMV, I have been through the fear of such a diagnosis," she said. "I enjoy helping parents understand diagnoses and treatment options, and helping them navigate the health care system. I want parents to know I'll be there to help them find the specialists they need, and to coordinate their children's care with those other providers."
Family keeps Dr. Clancy running outside of work. "We are a very active family," she said. "We love soccer, mountain biking, hiking and paddle boarding. Taking part in all of these activities led me to become certified in concussion care."
